Christmas Eve

You will be warmly welcomed on Christmas Eve with roaring fires, hot mulled wine and traditional mince pies served in our Dovedale Bar. Settle in your room before making your way to our Dovedale Restaurant at 7.00pm for our annual cocktail party hosted by our Restaurant Manager

A glass of Christmas Cocktail served with canapés will start your evening off before dining in our elegant Haddon Restaurant. Seasonal entertainment follows…

After the Dinner Dance why not enjoy a night cap in front of our roaring log fire in the Dovedale Bar before retiring?

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas - Breakfast will be served in our Haddon Restaurant, after which there is time to relax in one of our lounges or take a walk to the nearby famous "Stepping Stones"

Christmas Day Lunch will be served between 12.30pm & 2.00pm in our Haddon Restaurant. Enjoy the dishes that our Chef has lovingly created for you whilst enjoying the unrivalled views of Dovedale and Thorpe Cloud. Our friendly staff will be on hand to ensure your day continues at leisure.

At 3.00pm the Dovedale room will be available for those guests wishing to watch the Queen's Christmas Message.

A Selection of of board games are available from reception.

The Izaak Walton Hotel Christmas Evening starts from 7.00pm when the Haddon Restaurant will open its doors to a carved buffet created by our Head Chef.

Christmas Day will close in a relaxed style.

Boxing Day

Start with a leisurely breakfast in the Haddon Restaurant.

For your enjoyment Quiz sheets are available from reception. There are lots of prizes to be won - so please give it a go!

During the day, relax in one of our lounges with the quiz or your favourite book.
Perhaps take a gentle stroll in the beautiful countryside.

A buffet lunch will be served between 12.00 noon and 1.30pm in the Haddon Restaurant.

Dinner this evening is from 7.30pm. Choose from our four course Table D' Hote menu and dance the night away to our Resident DJ.

27th December

One last breakfast before we say Goodbye and wish you a safe journey home.

30th December

Arrive approximately 3.00pm You will be warmly welcomed to see in the New Year with us.

Why not relax in one of our lounges and take a look at our afternoon tea menu which is served in between 2.30-6.00pm

Dinner is served from 7.00-9.00pm. The Restaurant Manager, Mr George Nikolov will help you make your way through to the elegant Haddon Restaurant to enjoy a Superb Table d' Hote menu.

31st December: New Years Eve

Your stay includes the Gala Dinner & Dance on New Years Eve where the dress code for this evening is Evening Wear.

A glass of champagne each is available in the Dovedale Restaurant to set the mood for the evening, before dining in our elegant Haddon Restaurant. The Restaurant Manager will be your host for the evening.

Entertainment will be provided and when the clock strikes midnight, raise a glass to welcome in the New Year, 2009.

1st January 2009

One last breakfast in the Haddon Restaurant, If you arrived on the 30th December.

We hope that you have enjoyed your stay and that we will have the pleasure of your company for New Year 2009.

For those guests staying this evening why not take a leisurely stroll to the famous "Stepping Stones" and return to the hotel and relax in one of our lounges with our afternoon tea menu served between 2.30pm-6.00pm.
